I am helping my BUSY neighbor sell her mares. This is an INCREDIBLE offer for someone interested in quality Paint mares, with an opportunity to have them bred to my buckskin Peruvian stallion, for gaited babies, elibible for registration in the Gaited Baroque Horse Registry. Peruvians transmit gait to non-gaited more than any other breed. Crossed with the bay, the baby would be very nice... crossed to the tri-color buckskin, it will be PHENOMENAL! I have wanted to see her do that cross for a long time. This mare is very "old style" QH body, reminiscent of a spanish mustang...she's a little tank!
I have known both these mares (was there at their delivery)their whole life. They have had excellent care, and have been very healthy. The older mare (bay) has been on trails, but needs finishing and a tune up... mainly just miles following a seasoned trail horse. She's very calm and trustworthy. They younger one (buckskin paint)has been saddled and sat on, but does not know much else. She has incredible movement, very floaty and nice suspension. Also turns on a dime! She seems to have a higher energy, and would require a confident handler. I have no problems with her (nor does the owner) but she would not be for a beginner.
Both are registered and owner holds papers. Bay is 11 years old, and is by Valentino's Magnum (Mr. Valentino X A Little Cinchy) and out of Pocos Scootin Lady (Pocos Flash Bar X Smoothies Foxy Lady).
The younger I call a "tri color" is actually (on the papers) listed as a Dun Tobiano... is 8 years old and is by Royal Pression (Impressive Deuce X Champagne Chick) and out of Pocos Scootin Lady (Pocos Flash Bar X Smoothies Foxy Lady).
The bay is listed as a "breeding stock" on her registration, and the Tobiano is listed as "regular".
The Tobiano has amazing movement... reminds me of a dressage horse, except she is very heavy (needs to lose a few pounds) and not as tall as dressage types... but she is very eye catching. She has a great "spring" to her movement and seems to float along. I think she would be very comfortable to ride, and would most definitely be a good candidate to give a gaited baby, if bred to my stallion.
The owner is selling due to a major change in lifestyle and time constraints. She has juggled a busy life for a long time, and realizes that the horses really would be better off where they will be USED, instead of being big "pets". The family loves them a lot, so a good home is an absolute must. She is gone a lot, and has a full schedule, that is why she is having me handle the sale...but papers are in her name and she will sign papers over to buyer. I have copies of papers for interested parties, and also have a LOT more pictures of the girls I took today. These horses MUST go as a pair (she does not want to deal with just one horse left) what you do with them after that (as far as keeping both or selling one) is up to you. They have been together their whole life, and get along very well.
NOW...to make it EVEN better... what goes WITH these girls is amazing... there are TWO very nice Aussie saddles... one used for a season or two... (handful of rides) the other one barely used. I THINK the seats are 16" and 15"...but I can double check that. Headstalls, etc...ALL of their tack goes with them...anything she has and has bought over the years. Also, their gr**** hay is available for a big discount (not sure but I will check...probably $1.50 a bale)about 50 bales left.
Ok... now for info on the stallion. He is a 21 year old Peruvian... STRONG and SOUND... still ridden by heavy rider... still producing amazing babies. AMAZING temperament...he roams the property at liberty. Breeds in hand, never needs a stud chain. 15hh GORGEOUS buckskin. He makes people stop and stare. VERY well bred, old foundation bloodlines, not easily found anymore.
The breedings to him alone, are worth $1000... I will give a discounted booking fee of $50 per mare, and a discounted mare care fee of $5/day if you provide feed. You can bring one at a time, or both, it matters not to me. I'd REALLY like to see the Tobiano bred to him, but if you want to substitute another mare for one or both breedings, I will consider it to approved mares. PRICE REDUCTION! $4100/OBO. We can be SLIGHTLY negotiable...but this is a GREAT package, with two mares now, and the possibility of two foals, giving you FOUR horses for $4100. That's unheard of for this quality. If you break it down....the breedings are worth $1000.... the saddles and headstalls, worth $1000.... which gives you two great mares (and two babies) for $2100... WOW. |
