Shiloh is a Registered, 17yr old light chestnut racking horse with a white blaze, and stands 15.2H. He is very friendly. He loves attention; being brushed, receving treats and bathing, and just being petted! He loves another horse around. He needs a companion, or he'll be miserable! He is very alert and is usually in control out in the pasture. I give him and the other horses an option of going out to the pasture or staying in, by keeping his stall door open to the pasture. He doesn't like staying cooped up too long! He is ridden on trails and roads. Never in a parade or shows that i know of. But he could be good at it! The reason I am selling Shiloh is b/c his rearing problem. He likes things to go his way. If you turn him in a direction he doesnt want to go he'll rear. Or he just does it for fun too! But it gets old when you just want to go for a nice easy going trail ride and you have to be alert all the time because you'll never know when he's goning to rear! When I went to look at him for the very first time, he was very very calm and listened to every cue i gave him and the woman who sold him to us said he doesnt have any bad habits or anything! He's very easy going. But the next morning when i tried to ride him he wouldn't even let me near him! He was scared to death! But it didn't take long to get him calm after about a week of handling him and giving him treats every time i came to see him. Also he is scared of the shovel and wheelbarrow when i go in the stall to shovel manure! He will go in the very corner to get as far away as he can from it. But i have been working with him on it and he's becoming a little calmer when i come in. Shiloh is such a sweetey, but just needs some time and patience. He needs some one who knows how to handle horses and knows how to repond to his reactions. I'm sure down the road he will be a great horse that even kids will eventually be able to ride! Some one please just give him a chance. He's a real sweetey! I'm guessing he was abused when he was younger, because he's scared of the shovel or any sudden movements toward his head or body to pet him. But he's coming along! Roxie is a beautiful flea bitten Saddlebred mare. She was purchased at auction (out from the meat buyers) a few months ago. In the time I have had her, she has been an absolute doll. A proven mommy, this mare would love to foal again. She is up to date on everything and is healthy as a, well, horse! I've shown a close up of her leg. As you can see, she wears her hooves on her own as she can't hold the weight for the farrier to do it.
